I love Friday. Friday means I get up early, get myself and my kiddos ready and head to the Northwest Children's Outreach center. Friday means I get to bring skirts. Friday means more sweet little girls are getting blessed with NEW handmade skirts that people from all over the country are helping me donate. Friday means I get to see my Jesus moving in mighty ways.
I love Friday.
I love jumping in and serving however I can. Today I got to sort shoes. So many shoes. Probably at least 200 pairs. I sorted and filled the bins full of shoes to giveaway to children. It's such a basic thing right? Shoes. My kids have all kinds of shoes, shoes for certain outfits, summer shoes, winter shoes, all kinds of shoes. I cannot imagine what it would be like to wonder what my kids were going to wear on their feet, or how I would provide a pair of shoes for them. For some this is their reality. My heart was overflowing with joy knowing that all of those shoes would find themselves o n the feet of sweet children who need them. Kids who wouldn't have to wonder, who would be able to have something in their feet.
This work is mighty for the need is big. But, I serve a big God and these are His children. By His grace and out of the kindness and generosity of His people these children are having their needs met. I cannot say enough how humbled I am to be apart of this. Thank you for any one of you who are reading this and you have purchased a skirt, you're a treasure and you're blessing these kids! Thank you!!
