Today I was completely blown away by the response I got for the "Skirt For A Skirt" project. As I sit here and type this out, since this project started on Monday we have a total of 21 skirts donated!
That is incredible!
I was not sure what kind of feedback I would get when I launched this idea, but your hearts are full and I can feel the love over flowing in them! Your generosity and kindness has been amazing. Next week the center is closed on Friday for the 4th of July, but I cannot wait to get back there the following Friday with a pile, literally a PILE of NEW handmade skirts for these sweet little girls!
That means we still have a full 2 weeks to go before I head back.
What could we do in 2 week?
I am tired today, but it is a good tired. It is a tired from answering emails regarding prints, a tired from creating listing for sweet people who live in other countries ready to jump on board. It is a tired from sewing, and ironing on little shop tags, a tired from smiling so much each time I heard an order go through. This is the work of my Jesus. He has given me this idea, and it is His. These are His sweet daughters, His children that need us, by His grace, to come along side and help. To fill in a gap. To give them what they need.
You guys are amazing.
I'm truly, truly touched.
Tonight I go to bed with a heart overflowing with gratitude!
